A Classy Response to a $4 Million Win

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Brain Hastings recently took down Isildur1 for the tune of about $4 million in a single session which could quite possibly be the largest single win in a cash game in online poker history. Rather than crowing about his good fortunes Brian writes an extremely classy, humble, and motivational blog post about how he got to where he is today and what it took for him to have such an amazing run at Isildur1.

Although we are adults gambling with our money and know the risks, I do feel bad for Isildur to a point. Last year I had a 1.4m downswing at 500/1k taking 100% of my action (unbelievably stupid), so I’ve been there. He’s a talented player and I hope he rebounds and I think he will. Maybe this blog entry will even help him. I hope it helps someone, because it’s taken an awful long time to write and I’m supposed to be studying for finals right now…

Go give the post a read. If you’re struggling as a player or even if you want to see how a class act conducts himself give Brian’s blog a read.
